Servicing
To ensure that your evacuation chairs remain in optimal condition, it is of utmost importance to check them on a regular basis (at least once a year). Any defects need to be repaired.*
We are able to carry out annual inspections and any repairs for you. You can opt for an ad-hoc check-up or sign for a servicing agreement.
Because of our years of experience, working with evacuation chairs, we are able to carry out servicing for the following types of evacuation chairs:
- Escape-Chair®
- Escape-Carry Chair®
- van Leeuwen evacuation chair®
- Other 'similar types' of evacuation chairs

What do we mean by servicing?
Servicing starts with an inspection of the evacuation chair. By following a checklist, we check the functions of sensitive parts for wear and tear. Parts are lubricated and cleaned. If necessary, damaged parts will be replaced with new, original parts. The rubber glidebelts are checked for cracks and dehydration and will be replaced, if necessary. This inspection will be finalised with a test of the evacuation chair on the stairs.

What can you do yourself?
Prevent the evacuation chair from getting dirty by covering it with a dust cover. We advise you to mount the evacuation chair not too close to a source of heat, eg; next to central heating. If that is not possible, then store your evacuation chair in an Escape-Locker.
You may clean the seat of the evacuation chair with a non-aggressive detergent (no bleach). If the evacuation chair is not used on a regular basis, check the glidebelts for cracks and rotate them a few times per year.
*Escape Mobility Company is the exclusive supplier of original parts of the Escape-Chair® and Escape-Carry Chair®. Any claims for guarantees will be rejected when damage occurs as a result of servicing the Escape-Chair® and/or Escape-Carry Chair® by the customer or any third party other than Escape Mobility Company. There can be no claim under guarantee either, when the Escape-Chair® and/or Escape-Carry Chair® is damaged as a result of improper use.
